I need info on majoring in finance & jobs related?
My friends and I are considering going to grad school for “financial engineering”, from the description, its basically risk assessment plus some management skills.
I know what risk is and it’s definitely one of my interests.
SO my question is , WHAT ELSE do they teach and train for finance majors (at the undergrad level)? Or, what jobs do they get (specific tasks)? Other than financial advising, investment consulting.
What kind of training and school does one need to have to be a financial advisor for individuals?
I am interested in major investment firms, and insurance, and risk, so i think financial engineering is still my thing.
So are you saying a financial advisor is more of a salesman & somebody who knows the market, rather than somebody who’s been in school for a few years on finance?
